NC Green Power

NC Green Power is completely supported by citizens and businesses seeking to improve the use of renewable energy. Headquartered in Raleigh, NC, NC Green Power conducts projects on carbon emissions, provides grants for solar installations at K-12 schools and continuously focuses their teams energy on improving residential, industrial and commercial markets. Since 2003, donors have helped us to support more than 1,020 renewable energy and greenhouse gas mitigation projects in North Carolina. The nonprofit continues to work hard, providing a cleaner, greener future for our communities. 

The King's Kitchen

Welcome to the "Southern Kitchen on a Local Mission!" The King's Kitchen serves southern-inspired cuisine sourced from Carolina farms. Established in 2010, The King’s Kitchen donates 100% of profits from sales to feed the poor in the Charlotte region. Additionally, The King’s Kitchen partners with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Dream Center and other local area ministries to provide job-training, life-skills training, social etiquette workshops, financial management guidance and employment intern opportunities to Charlotteans in search of a new beginning.

Knowledge Works

If you're wondering what teams are helping to propel our future forward, Knowledge Works is an organization you must check out! By delivering innovative education approaches and advancing aligned policies, KnowledgeWorks develops the capacity of communities and educators to imagine, build and sustain vibrant learning ecosystems that allow each student to thrive. They provide innovative tools, training for school leaders and teachers. 

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters is an organization that matches children with adult mentors helping them to improve everyday challenges. Bigs (mentors) establish a relationship with their Littles (children) that help to teach them the skills necessary for everyday life. Bigs also take joy in showing their Littles a world of opportunities and endless possibilities. We shine our spotlight on the Columbia, SC chapter so be sure to check them out and help push their mission further. 

Mercy Medical Angels

"Mercy Medical Angels’ mission is to ensure that no one in need is denied medical care due to a lack of transportation." MMM fulfills this mission by providing alternative transportation to assist emergencies. Safety of operation is the number one priority.  MMA programs started in 1972, and the program has a 100 percent safety record since its beginning, transporting nearly 170,000 patients to date.
